    the book does say in the small print at the end of the article - if there is an electical fault with the windows this and the roll back functions will not work........

    The problem is that when you resyn the window you are supposed to send it up on the one touch and then hold it up for a few seconds to establish the fully closed position. You can't do that if the one touch won't send the window up. That's why I asked about the fob rolling the windows up. I would try disconnecting the battery with the windows open and then reconnecting. Then try to get the windows to rise on one touch and hold button for a few seconds. If this doesn't work, try rolling windows shut with fob and then holding each one for few seconds. If none of this works it suggests the window contoller is faulty. I have told people to ignore this in the past and see if it recovers on its own and it has.
