hi guys can anyone help me on the following,
i fitted a cheap aftermarket alarm to my 2004 audi a4 1.9tdi. the aftermarket alarm works locking and unlocking the doors fine, it even activates the oem alarm as well. problem is that when i set the after market alarm it activates the oem alarm which is not a problem, but after about 30 seconds when the oem alarm has settled down and armed, if i try to unlock the doors from the aftermarket fob, it wont unlock. but if i try lock and unlock before the oem alarm settles down, it works fine. is there a double pulse on unlock or what am i missing??

also where the hell do i connect on to the flashers? as most of the system is can bus.

    please help :-(

I have fitted a huge number of aftermarket systems but never to one of those. I suspect your idea of the double post may be correct, I had this issue with the Golf 2 when trying to operate the pump directly, if left for 30 seconds I had to disarm, arm and disarm the alarm to get the pump to react. In the end I used a servo motor to operate the OE door switch on a steel plate in the boot next to the pump and that worked, God knows why!
