Avant luggage retention

Has anyone tried the avant luggage retention system. I think one part is a telescopic aluminium bar and the other is an adjustable strap. Any idea how much this is, where is the cheapest place to buy it and most importantly is it any good?

Yep....same system as on the A6 C6. I bought mine off eBay for £50...wasn't going to pay 170! I use it quite a bit...find it very useful to stop the weekly shopping flying around the boot!

They certainly look identical.....not sure about part numbers though.
I'd be very surprised if they changed the fitting.....I think it also the same on some Skoda and VW.....

I've got the loading bar (use quite a bit), cargo net (also use quite often) and the band one (not used). I can't use them with my boot mat though so need to plan ahead if using them. I got mine chucked in when buying the car.

I use the band a lot....on the left side of the boot is a cubby hole and I keep a 5 litre plastic container of screenwash in place with it....
