How to get rusty front wings replaced by volkswagen

The case relations manager contacted me today. He says that the problem I have is not perforation for which there is cover in the 12 year body protection warranty but edge & fold corrosion which is not. As such I have no case. Pi___d off! manic mike

There have been many many views / replies and the posts are stuffed FULL of excellent information on how to succeed and get VW to stand up to their 12 year warranty.

The TSB bulletin is also posted in there several times for anyone that wants it as a pdf file ( Go to post# 33 ) and you'll find it there.

The post itself really is required reading IF you have this issue.

Hi bud i have just googled this morning about wings rusting as i have a mk v golf tdi 05 plate had it 4 yrs and both sides of front wings are buggered i called vw where i bought the car
and the girl said she will see me 5th july the only thing i am going back to london beginning of june called her back but she aint called back yet so **** i am gonna take my car to darlington today
as she said she has to take some pics what it is bud would i have to get the car done here back up north as i would have to come back up from the south as i am about to start work or do you think i could get it done down therei bought the car up here in the north

hi bud am just new on this forum so until i have put 10 post cannot pm you i got a golf mk 5 55 plate both wings are funked bubbling and on in the inside just crumbling away on the lip

hi pal i am experiencing the same prblm on my golf mk v the paint has started to bubble on the outside and the lip is stating to eat away the paint on the underneath on the lip has come off so now the lip is exposed
to wet conditions have you had anymore luck with it getting replaced cheers

Mine is in the bodyshop this week having the paint work repaired on the wings, hopefully a pair of new wings as they were a bit rough on the inside. They are also doing some bubbles on the sills aswell all under warranty

Got mine back, nice new wings, the sills all treated and sprayed and a pair of new GTI skirts.

All done FOC by Robinsons in Norwich
