As above, my A3 3.2 idles at 600rpm which seems quite low and a bit grumpy; apparently the R32 is similar but wondered if anyone else knew either way.

Is it possible to raise the idle by say 200rpm?

I have an R32, it also idles at 600rpm. Mine is quite happy at this and is the correct idle.
