I would get them to refund the money and go any get a standard set from the local auto factors. at least you can go in and bend there ear if anything is wrong.

if they have only done 150 miles I wouldn't see a problem with changing them, just remember to tell the supplier that the runout was correct

As much as EBC are telling me that it's impossible for their discs to be defected, there's no way of them proving this. I'm going to have another attempt at seating the disc and see if that helps.

As for the standard brakes, I did agree. I had to have a the servo changed and they weren't the same. Had the car to Audi numerous times and still they said it's fine. They used to grab with a solid pedal then they spongy. Worse than my wife's Fiesta! I had to do something so an upgrade (and recommended by many) was an option. I will try by best to get this disc sorted before replacing!!

Thanks for all the replies guys. This is a good forum. Many out there are great if you ask about fitting 19" 20" wheels and body skirts.

what was the make of the discs you used ?

I use Pagid or Bosch from Euro's and they seem ok

Maybe the MOT station is seeing that the brake is sticking or feeling it under his feet that the disc is warped

It could be that the piston is sticking, you jumped on brakes to test them after fitting, because the piston was sticking it made contact with the disc first and bent the disc ever so slightly

Remember that discs warp easily, go through a puddle and they warp ............................... you have told us that one side was hotter than the other ....................... binding brake

So for me back to basics, you have bled the brakes, replace front brakes discs both sides with the new ones from Euros and see how you get on . Just look at the rubber cover for the pistons and see if they are seated correctly, any holes & perhaps have a look at piston being pitted & needing replaced or cleaned
