Hi, can someone please tell me if a footrest should be part of my 2007 A6.
Reason i ask, is that i notice that there is a part of the carpet from the drivers foot side is missing with what looks like parts of clips on the bodywork which would hold a footrest.
If so, anyone know a third party company who would supply one?
    Many thanks

There is in mine, attached to the side of the transmission tunnel. By the looks of it it's fixed on top of the carpet, so I don't know what part of the carpet would be missing.

    My car's a manual, btw.

Are you talking about the dead pedal?

I'd assumed it was a "clutch" foot rest that was being enquired about. Mine has one - but I don't have a clutch!

Yes, its a clutch foot rest. I had one in my A4, but couldnt understand why an A6 wouldnt have one until now!
So basically yes, its a foot rest just to the left of the clutch pedal.
Anyone know where i can purchase one from a third party stockist? I just dont fancy going to my Audi dealership with their prices.

Look on eBay - search "a6 breaking" or eBay Germany and use translator.

Looks like its about £7 from dealer for the plastic footrest... there are different types from what I can see for variants of A6...

You may require 3 hex nuts (40p each) and 1 hex panel bolt (£1.50) which goes through cover>>metal bracket>>speed nut (15p)...
The metal bracket which the cover attaches to is about £15...
