High Level Rear Brake Light on Avant

My high level brake light strip seems to have a dim or blown bulb. Are these in-fact LED's or bulbs and can they be individually replaced ?

They're LED

Im sure I read somewhere you have to replace the whole strip but I'm sure if you're handy with a soldering iron you could replace the failed LED.

But I would think it would be easier and better to replace the whole lot.

Looking at your profile page John140 your A4 is a 2010 car...
As they are LED, would they be covered under warranty from Audi... as is manufacturer warranty 3yrs...
Just thoughts...
