    Hi all,

    have just a got a audi a4, my first audi and loveing it so far, the car has some very nice bbs alloys on with 225/40/18 on lok very smart, but the spare wheel is an origanl alloy with a 205/55/16, what i need to no is do they match ok if i have a flat tyre and put the spare on !

    It will fit but there will be a diameter difference of 4.24 which equates to a rim + tyre difference of 28mm.

    Thanks for that chris will that cause me a problem if i use it than !

    maybe it will be better if i look round for an other alloy to gom with the other four, why do people buy only 4 alloys,

    PS or what wheel or tyre would i be able to use to make it safe !

    no it wont matter if used for a spare while getting main wheel fixed. i have 19" rims with et 35, but spare is a 16" with et42. often drive with spare on as wont let a garage jack my car up, as have a votex bodykit and they nearly ripped it off. so when have puncture etc will remove tyre myself before going garage, but i have no issues when spare on.
    1.8T, votex bodykit, 18" RS4's, tinted windows.
    scouser, but car was bought and paid for.

    Hi can any 1 here help, i have changed my wheels from 17 inch to 18 inch, my 17 inch wheels had 245/45/17 tyres, my 18 inch has 245/40/18 tyres, the tyres are noisey , like a land rover, what im wanting to know is will 245/45/18 tyres fit or will they rub

    i posted a part about tyrs sizes on here, i bought a new set of wheels and just after i put them on i had a humming noise, a so called mate insisted it was bad tyres on my car, what an *** he was, it wasnt at all, it was what i suspected all along, a faulty wheel bearing, waste of money on new tyres
