iPhone connection

Hi all just bought a a6 sline 2005 2.0 tdi can I connect my iPhone to the stereo if so how can see any jack sockets anywhere thanks Steven

Do a search for AMI .....or have a look in the roof of your glovebox. You may have one already. I'm afraid it's not as simple as just plugging in a 3.5mm jack.

Ami can be added using the guide gupsterg has provided in the top of the a6 section.

This is the only way to get iPhone/iPod into the car but you could always go aftermarket.

You need the mmi high system to get Ami.

My 2005 A6 2.0 TDi had an early version of the MMI which predated AMI. I read somewhere that cars became suitable for AMI retrofit when the Media button was introduced. Does your MMI panel have a Media button?

It can still be added to cars with Cd/TV but you will need your MMI updated to the latest firmware which is 5570 for it to work correctly.

Tried that but mine is different I go into setup then setting then default highlight mmi settings then nothing thanks for the info thou mite go k&m acoustics in Wigan see what they say
