Audi A8 3.0 TDI Quattro 2007 - fingerprint starting error

Hi, I have a 2007 A8 with fingerprint starting. I have figured out how to add a new 'user' but cant get the finger print system to work. It comes up with a 'system error' everytime try to select a finger to scan. Any ideas?

Looks like you need check the fingerprint reader using VCDS, or take it in to a dealer, sounds like a fault in there somewhere.

You could try disconnecting the battery for 30 mins to see if that reboots it OK, but then you'll have to do the window resets etc.
