    Hi,

Recently purchased an '09 Passat Highline Estate which is so far all good. I have noticed that the rear wiper cover cap has a gap in it. You can see this is where the water comes out of but it also kind of looks like a part of it is missing, like there should be a semi-circle of plastic to cover this up with a space for the water to shoot through. I've checked for replacements online and they all appear to look the way it already is, with the space in it. Just wanted to double check that it isn't a completely covered unit and this is the way they all look!

    Thank you!

Havn't seen a pix of yours but my '06 B6 Estate too has a gap at the top of the cap for the rear screen washer jet to pass. The gap is rounded at corners

You may have seen posts about a workshop recall for front wiper motor cap which lets in water to the wiper motor if not changed.
Mebe worth checking your VIN with a dealer to see whether yours is affected? Mine was. If you use a VW dealer anyways, they should've already done this check and others affected by any outstanding WSCs

    Cheers

Thanks. I think this is how they are. I've been looking out for another one to check and see but I'm sure this is the way it is. I assumed it would be an enclosed unit but guess not!
