2005 VW Passat 2.0 diesel estate
Trying to remove the tailgate interior lining to find warner ingress to actual tailgate. I have removed 4 screws and managed to 'pop' off the lower part of the trim up to where it joins the window trim. Cannot see how to remove the trim which goes around the actual window interior. Please can anyone help?

Same as lower one. They both fitted by the metal clips around.

I have a 1998 Passat TDi estate and the advice to remove the screws in the handle recesses does not help - as I can't find the screws! Do the old estates have a different method for removing the trim panel? I can pop out some of the clips and remove two screws from the join between the lower and upper parts of the trim but it feels like the lower part is held by something more than clips. Any advice?

    Charlie.
