    hi,
    i have a golf gt tdi 2004 140 bhp and after a long run and engine is hot if you turn it off and try to restart straight away it takes a while to start what could this be also have a lumby idle after replacing dmf and clutch ???????

    hi,
    replaced them both of them no different but if you plug the old one back in it starts ok again becaues it tricks the engine to being cold again

    Did you use a genuine VW sensor?can you get a fault code read and read the value of the sensor?

    hi,
    yes all my parts are gen vw both sensors just had my car back today after being with vw and told that it just takes a bit longer to start then most so basicly i have to live with it just like my slight rough idle not to worry if vw cant sort it out i have no change ,its like a expense game of russian rulet with my engine

    With the engine warm the specifaction is 80---35 which corresponds to 80---110 degrees,measured with VAS

    If it helps mine never starts as good when it's hot, just have to hang on the key a turn or so more. but yours maybe more drastic i understand?

    yes just a bit if i keep using this car i will need a new battery and starter motor every year

    i will try to extract my temp sensor readings as i've noticed mine is also not starting as efficiently as it does when cold. 04 2.0 gttdi

    p.s. i use a v-checker
