Hi guys, my rear parking sensors were acting dodgy recently and wouldn't really beep till right close and now they stopped working totally. My front ones work fine though.

So I tried the 'listening to the ticking noise test', for anyone who doesn't know what this is, I turned the key fully but not turned the actual car on, then put it in reverse and listened closely to each sensor. If they are working, you should hear a slight ticking/pulsing noise, you have to put your ear right next to them.

Anyway my left sensor wasn't ticking so i'm guessing it doesn't work and I was wondering if anyone knows what is the cheapest method to getting an original colour coded replacement and how to fit it on.

Also, would that one dodgy sensor be the cause of why it wasn't working properly recently and now they all dont work?

When you engage reverse for the first time after turning the ignition, do you get a longer, different tone beep to normal? That's what I get and would be interested to hear what the cheapest option is to replace the sensor. (I confirmed which sensor of mine is faulty through VCDS but have been too lazy to fix it thus far).

A Polish seller on eBay does genuine sensors, just make sure the part number is correct, there are a few.
Get a local chipsaway man to paint it for you.

Just to throw a potential spanner in the works...............

All of mine tick/pulse...but I still get the error sound and they don't work.
I don't have access to VCDS so can't get any kind of diagnostic done.

Yes I get a beep, don't know if its different to normal, what is normal? Also when it was working dodgily, I met someone and used their VCDS and no errors came up!

Do you have a link to the sellers page? Are they new? Also how can I find the part number?

Is there anyway to find out without taking the old one out and without a VCDS, as I will be taking the car to the local garage to take out and refit the new one so I don't want to go there twice.
