2017 2.0 tdi starter motor

Hi all,

Anyone know where the starter motor is located on a CNHA engine? Mine is an auto, quattro, and decided to pack in on my driveway @65k miles.

Only info I seem to find are on 3.0 tdi's where it was behind the engine mount and alternator but my alternator is up top.

It has stop/start so isn't the alternator also the starter motor?

I don't think so, I've read Q7s and v6 A6s which all have start/stop all have an alternator and a starting motor so I'd expect mine to have both too.

It's a normal starter motor at the back of the engine driving the flywheel teeth. Could be either side, but more likely the UK offside.
