:EDIT: Why don't you download obdeleven (android only) and enter your VIN, and you'll see what apps will work with your car. If you do decide to purchase you can start adding credits before you even obtain the dongle. I had about 200 credits before I even got mine second hand.[/QUOTE]
Sounds like a no brainer now... Many thanks for taking time to reply

I found a little, but mentionable change in the rev4 MMI update:

In the former version you were not able to change the ringtone in the MMI, if you selected the "make the phone calls via bluetooth" option. Now you are able to change it, it's not grey anymore.

I am trying to adjust the auto full beam settings on my 2017 A6. Under adaptations none of the channels are listed on the drop down menu, so I have no idea which channels I should be adjusting. It seems on earlier model years its a straight forward task, but not so now. Any ideas? I'm looking to change the activation speed, and if possible have this set to on as default.

I'm not sure if it depends on the FL/non FL issue. In my case the situation is all the same, but I was told, that in my case the problem is, that I have the regular comfort module, and to have these features, first I have to change or upgrade my comfort module to the "highline" version. Due to the price, and the possible damage during the SW update, I decided to drop these features

I have tried changing the speed threshold for auto main beam on 2 fl and it doesn’t accept the adaptation. I can find it and change it from 60km/h to something else but it won’t save it.
Another thing is since my local council has changed the street lights to LED lights it confuses the hell out of the auto main beam. It switches on and off between lampposts. Think this is to do with led lights are more directional so there’s more of an obvious light and dark patch whereas the old orange lights had a general glow that the sensor picked up.

Where did you find the setting so I can take a look? Nothing showing in the adaptations/channel list. Is it me or is VCDS losing some functionality as the cars get newer?

I will need to have a look. It’s been ages since I tried.
To be honest vcds is falling behind a lot of other cheaper stuff out there like obd11 and vagcan pro. Half the label files don’t exist for newish cars, it almost feels like they can’t be bothered. It’s still a useful tool but I think it’s had it’s time now.

    hi there

is there a code for turning the "break pads" warning light off?
it's a major fail with the new MOT coming this year.
if it'll go on the night before, it'll be handy to be able to turn it off before doing the MOT

    thanks for your time

Definitely not recommend turning any safety warning messages off. It’s one of those things you forget about and then you end up running someone or something over.
Change the pads and sensor, that will turn it off. If it’s triggered the sensor then it will most likely need replaced also.
