Hi, is it possible someone could snap a picture of which boxes should be marked on the mod for the mirror drop? I'm thinking the previous owner may have messed with it and maybe ticked the wrong bit as my mirror will not drop when it's done on vcds...I'm wondering if he has marked another box by mistake

Is your mirror adjustment switch set to the passenger side?

The information you require is listed on the first page of this thread.

When reverse gear is selected, the passenger door mirror dips to show the kerb if the mirror control knob is set to the passenger door mirror position. When driving forwards and exceeding 5mph or when switching off the car, the passenger mirror returns to its original position. If the position of the mirror is changed when dipped, this change is remembered the next time the mirror dips.

It sure is... it's not showing any error codes and that's what's making me think it's something the last owner has done as a couple of mods had been done already. Maybe selected other boxes and messed things up. If I can check standard or the right settings across that module I should know

I'm not sure about it, but there was a message some days ago, that there is an option in the user MMI interface to select whether you want to use the mirror dip function or not. As I don't have this submenu (probably it's the part of the MMI with the memory seats submenu), I don't know if it's exist at all, but if yes, then maybe your problem is simple, the mirror dip was disabled in the user MMI interface, and therefore it's not working even you select the passanger side mirror with the selector.

IMHO, that's all we can help without a full VCDS scan, so if the above solution is not working for you, then I suggest You to post your full VDCS scan on the ross-tech forum, and by this, they will be able to help you. Probably it could be also useful idea to ask the former owner, why the mirror dip function is not working, maybe you will get an instant answer.

Thanks for your answer...I don't have that menu either... I'm trying to put it back to standard on the vcds so no point in posting a scan as it won't show anything. I need to see a standard menu with just the dip mirror selected .

I was browsing through some german forums today and came across this. It was listed under Q5 mods but I tried on my 2012 A6 and coding was accepted. Didn't had chance to test it yet. Anyone else done this or can confirm if this actually works.

Motorway mode takes advantage of the large amount of light and optimized lateral and apron lighting of the xenon plus pig launcher. About sensors, a vehicle electronics analyzed continuously the speed of the vehicle. After a short time above 110 km / h, the system is based on a highway driving and automatically switches from the low-beam mode in motorway light mode. Due to a special position of the aperture in the xenon headlights plus additional light is then focused by an aluminum reflector and far in front of the vehicle is thrown but without dazzling other road users. The sight is more than doubled: from 70m in low-beam mode to 150m motorway light mode. This increase in visibility means to respond to objects in front of the vehicle at a speed of 130 km / h has a gain of 2 seconds. so Motorway mode increases driving safety significantly.

    The following coding applies:

    1. Select Cent. Elec.- 09
    2. Coding 07
    3. From Drop down menu Select 2 - xxx - RLS (rain and light sensor)
    4. byte 0
    5. Bit 0 - motorway light - Activate

As far as I know it's standard feature within all VAG cars as long as they got rain and light sensor installed. Also I do not have high beam assist. I'm going to give this a try tonight. Will report later
