2006 Audi Quattro 2.0 170 TDI. Flashing glowplugs and engine management light on, and in 'limp mode' after failing to clear the DPF in time.

The question is: can I regenerate (burn off) the DPF if I take it out on the open road in limp mode? Or is that now a waste of time?

Thanks in anticipation of your help.

You can force a regeneration with VCDS.

Thanks for that. Have just returned from 30 minutes at 60mph @ 3000rpm (best I could manage on limp mode) but no luck :-(
