I know jail-breaking doesn't void the warranty but I thought rooting and certainly flashing did......I stand corrected. However...if you brick your android phone whilst trying to root this will not be covered by your warranty....a good time to 'lose' your phone....

Thanks for taking a look guys. I was hoping I'd found a way around Sky's lack of urgency/ability to provide Sky Go to ICS users.

I remember earlier in the thread reading that jailbreaking can make the iphone unstable, so I'll maybe leave it alone too. He fact it can be unrooted is some reassurance, but not worth the risk when a new platform's on it's way anway.

Nice little gem for those braver than me though hopefully.

Don't know if I'm the last to find out here, but I've just successfully downloaded the Sky Go app & watched some of the Liverpool v City game on it. Must be available on android again I guess.

Nah....really annoyed with Sky....it's only available for 'selected' android phones and the HTC One X ain't one of them!

Well that just seems bizarre. I thought Apple may be giving some sort of payment for Sky to delay rollout to android sets, but maybe not then unless other manufacturers are paying a dividend to Sky for the second wave of rollouts too. Surely they can't delay it/be far off a fix for long now.

If you're on orange and on a panther talk plan, go look at the swappables you can have for free.

I don't subscribe to any sky sports packages but I can view all sky sports channels on my phone via 3g or WiFi. Ok its not HD quality but its free.
