Seven year ago, I delocked the tailagte on my Mk4 Turbo....looked cool at the time but moved on since and I have a new tailagate to replace the smoothed one, back to factory spec. (It also screwed up the central locking once the control unit was taken out as well).

Problem is, as I no longer have the original relay/control unit and lock barrel, and the replacement tailgate has a different lock with no key? can I buy a replacement lock barrel from VW to match my existing keys????

I'd like to get it all working again.

    Cheers

Would it be worth buying a whole set second hand? I see you're in Melksham. Theres a VW / Audi breakers there which might have what you need, i have got stuff from there before and they are good value.

Thanks Geoff....I know where you mean, actually....didn't think of trying there! Right under my nose, so to speak.

Tried them but unfortunately no barrel and key available....was advised I would need to go to a main dealer who would cut key to match existing keys on Golf......sounds expensive though!
