    Hi,
I recently bought a January 2009 A4 1.8T (160hp) and was told when I bought it that it had a timing chain. Yesterday I decided to email the local Audi dealer who replied today saying 'An Audi with a 1.8T engine is cam belt driven'. Now I'm confused. I have emailed Audi UK but haven't had a reply yet. Can anyone help solve the mystery?
    Thanks for any help.
    Jim

UPDATE Got an email from Audi UK to confirm my car is chain driven.
