Hello, I'd like some help please, if possible, in getting a fuse layout for a car I've just bought from my local VW dealer. The car is a 2010 Golf 1.4 S (80 PS) 5 door, and there is no card on the fuseboxes and the handbook tells me to consult with the dealer for the information. The dealer told me they don't have this information, but if I have a problem bring it back and they will fix it. To be honest it was as if I was asking for a company secret when all I want to do is replace a fuse if one is blown. I know that there could be other considerations but even the handbook on a MK4 Golf advises changing the fuse first, then looking deeper if that blows again. I have spent some time looking around some of this forum and found nothing but if I've missed it or someone can link to, or provide what fuse goes in what position I would be grateful. Thanks.

    Welcome to the forum.

No they don't show any info on the fuse\relay boxes because they say its constantly under development, bull they should print what they know when the car was built.

Thanks very much, I've tried searching, speaking to the dealers, speaking to VW Main Office and all it took was one post!

And I will try to get my signature correct next time.

    Well the Golf handbook says:

At the time of print we are unable to provide an up-to-date overview of the locations of the fuses for the electrical consumers. This is because the vehicle is under constant development, because fuses are assigned differently depending on the equipment level and because several consumers may use a single fuse. You can get more information about the fuse layout from a Volkswgen dealership.
    More bull.

Gives the impression that they leave the fuse box wiring for the bod on the production line to knit as he thinks fit.
