    Just bought myself another A6. Didn't make the same mistake twice and made sure it has a colour screen this time. Browsing through I realised the battery level indicator is missing. I've seen threads with people giving instructions on how to unlock it but couldn't find one when I wanted one. Can some kind person enlighten me. Cheers Jonathan

    You'll need Vagcom/vcds for this job.

    Naviagte to Module 07 - Control Head

    Adaption - Channel 08 - Change value from 0 -> 1, test and save.

    Reset MMI by holding Setup, Central Dial and top right soft key. Release and MMI should restart. Or go to channel 111 and set the new value as 1.

    Now once that has restarted,

    Hold in Setup + Car for 2 or 3 seconds. The screen should now turn green. This can take a few attempts to get the timing correct.

    Next step,

    I dont have the car to check this but I'm sure you scroll to DIAG SETTING, then Car Menus Maske, find battery meter, enable it, scroll to the bottom, accept changes and then reset the MMI using the method above.

    Tnats for MMI 2G but as you didn't mention the year of your car, its the way I know how to do it.

    CAUTION - Stay away from Bootloader!!!

    Cheers for that but without vagcom I'll shelve that for a while. Having just read a recent post I'm guessing its a MMI3G Low. Cheers Jonathan

    Where are you located? It's possible there is a member nearby with VCDS who could help.
