    Needs new carpet and there is a patch of rust by the front nearside corner of the windscreen but its completely original, with original glass and 60100 miles.

    Single wiper makes it pre '84 so the reg plate is right - 1983 ish?

    How much did you buy it for Ben?

    Was hoping crasher could give his input as to what spec it maybe and what engine ot has. It's a 5 speed, door locks and bonnet latch have very smooth operation. Wondered if it may make a quick project.

    looking at the few on ebay, i would of thought £500 would secure this example.

    what are these like for body rot and rust?

    are these older ones rare or the single wiper versions rare.

    All i know is one as old as that do make strong money when in top condition (from the pics this one is very close) its been a while since i last saw one let along worked on one, i think like the mk1 golks, floorpans and sills can sufferas do front panels

    You don't see many original examples around but they're not as rare or as desirable as the earlier mk I Sciroccos.

    If you've got the time, it'd make a nice project with a fairly easy sale in the summer if you don't feel like keeping it yourself.
