    Hi all. My Audi A4 B7 Sline 2.0 has a annoying fault. When I am sat in the car seatbelt on every now and then normally when changing gear or generally moving slightly the seatbelt light comes on and the annoying beep.

    I am trying to track where the fault could be as not sure if its a faulty sensor. I have made sure there is nothing on passenger seat and this can happen also if i have a passenger and they are belted. More annoying than anything.

    Had a browse on forum but cant seem to find much regarding common faults. Any help would be great.

    I realise this post is pretty old, but might help someone else out;

    I've been having the exact same fault with the passenger seat belt warning light/chime coming on intermittently...we both wear seatbelts as a matter of routine, so i put it down to a worn / dirty sensor in the seat belt hasp (where you lock the seat belt into).

    I looked under the passenger seat, noted the wiring under the seat embedded in the floor (under black plastic cover) and left that well alone as it contains wiring connectors for the airbags...but i did trace the two wire (in a black sheath) that comes from the bottom of the hasp and just disconnected the black connector for these two wires only...cured the problem.

    I am a little concerned though, that by disconnecting the hasp wiring, the computer might think there's no passenger in the car and not fire the passenger airbags in a collision...but i didn't touch the seat pressure sensor, so i'm hoping it will still fire the bags...can anyone else clear this up?
