I know there are many posts on the site detailing how to change a bulb on the C6, but is there anyone who can submit step by step photos? A photo in this instance does paint a thousand words.
Like others, i previously had a mk4 golf which was a nightmare to change bulbs, however with the correct photo instructions, im sure this will certainly be manageable rather than Audi requesting that you take it to one of their technicians to do costing an arm and a leg!
    Thanks

If you struggle yourself ( I do sometimes with things like this - there's not a lot of room there and there is a knack to it ) it may be useful to enlist the help of someone with the hands of a 6 year old....lol
Sorry I can't really offer too much help, but if you buy the bulbs from there Halfords will fit it for £5 i think......just a thought?

The bulbs are easy to change on an A6 (I had a mk4 golf also..PITY!). Just remember that you have to take the air box out when doing the drivers side and you have to unbolt and move the power steering reservoir (it's easy trust me) when doing the passenger side bulbs.

Bulbs are clipped into their holders as per any other halogen bulb really. Unclip the the holder, withdraw bulb, disconnect plug and swap over.

Pictures are not gonna make it much easier IMHO

Sounds good from memory Josh....I'm lazy that way and got the Halfords guy to do it.....lol
I do remember him removing the air box and the power steering reservoir to make room as there wasn't a lot to play with......even then he had scratched hands iirc!

This could be your chance to immortalise yourself here even more Josh......go take a few pics and do a write up

Dude, I am even lazier than you. I thought about doing a how to when I retrofiited an S3 steering wheel and different airbag to my A6. But I get so engrossed in the task at hand that by the time I remember to do photos, I have already pretty much assembled everything back again.

I may go back and re-do the S3 wheel thing and how to retrofit OEM Xenons/Headlamp wash etc...but not for changing light bulbs! There must be a you tube vid somewhere

    Lol...so funny.
Sounds like you've done really cool things to your car though Josh and good write ups would really help others in future, ask me how I know?...lol

I'm Admin on a Jag forum and we love these write ups c/w pics that show "how to"......most of the guys do videos now as write ups with pics is sooo old....rofl
I've managed to do a few for that site as well as a few for here, just the basics though, nothing too techncial

On my C6, the manual said that to change the bulbs you should take it to an Audi dealer. But in the section on driving overseas (somewhere) it talked about the "dip right" setting and how to adjust it. To get to this, you need to get to the point where the only thing between you and a bulb change is the clip on the back of the bulb-holder.

From memory I only ever changed the offside dip bulb and it took a fair bit of time to work out what needed to be moved and how - and which connector I had forgotten to reconnect afterwards. Took quite a few miles for the error to clear on the display.

I need to do my N/S sidelight and O/S DRL bulbs this week before MOT.

Peter on here was immensely helpful with diagrams. But......last time I tried I only got as far as the air box. How does the final large piece of housing come out?

its held on with 2 screws around the front slam panel. There is a plastic panel around the lock carrier that can be pulled up and out. You will then see the 2 screws. Unscrew these and the whole trumpet thing comes out.

BTW - if you car is a 2007, it won;t fail on the drl so long as the sidelights and main/dipped beams work. IIRC, DRLs on that age car are separate bulbs
