    Golf 1.9tdi BKC 2005 42K miles

    Removed LH Intercooler Plastic Pipe ( looking at engine on LH side of engine bay) &
    found a WHITE film on the inside of this pipe.
    Oil is changed at 8K intervals but not always the same brand.
    Should I be concerned?

    white film? ahh has it been cold and wet near you lately? if so its the oil film has got cold and gone a white colour, thats all i can think of, i take it your not losing any oil or water?

    Thanks Phil,

    Not losing oil or water. Car mostly used for shortish journeys.

    Years ago had a Morris 1000 & had a problem with emulsifying with Duckhams 20/50.

    Have just done a oil change using Morris fully synthetic (505.01 spec)

    Is there an oil you that you would recommend?
