I've checked the wiring to both driver's side doors, front and rear, swapped the front window motors/control modules over and still have the fault with the back door. The front door module read gives a can fault 02071 and the rear door has no communication. I've even got two wiring looms and wired the doors with them and still ahve the fault.......any ideas??

I have changed the door catch/lock mechenism and the window regulator/door module with no change to the situation.

Have also checked all the wires carfully in both the inside of the pilar and through the door.

Getting angry now lol Least i have disabled the catch so the door cannot be opened at all from the outside now (just for peice of mind)

    Cheers guys
Sorry to bring this back up but I am having this exact issue on my golf. IV tried everything you have and still not getting anywhere.

My rear drivers door doesn't lock and the windows do not work but the speakers do.

Did you manage to solve this or does anyone else have any idea on what I can try next. IV checked the wiring and changed the door lock module but still nothing.

    Please help

My rear door window worked only on the front drivers side switch but everything on the rear door was dead.
In the end, I changed the loom on the front driver's door from the connector at the pillar through to the door locks. It completely cured the fault with the back door. I was gobsmacked because I had checked all those wires for conyinuity ( or thought I had!!)
I got the loom from TPS for about 75 quid and the guy there said they sell loads of them and they are always coming back to the dealers with this fault.

    Hope this helps!

My problem is the window doesn't work from any switch even the drivers door. IV also tried changing the window switch but still nothing.

Does the rear door get its power from the front door?

Is there anyway I can check the CCM. IV scanned the scar and it's says rear door control module and also says no communication with the rear door.

I had the same when I scanned mine. "No comms with rear door"
I changed the rear door motor, rear door lock, and window switch so I had already gone down the road you are going......found those parts were all good and put them on Ebay! 😆
I found it was the loom. If you have a lot of time, and a bit more patience than I had, then a thorough continuity check through the front door and back door looms will find the fault. I also found that there are a lot of variations in the door looms too, even in the same age car so I would bother with a 2nd had loom.

The feed/ earths for the rear drivers door goes into the front driver's door and then out to the rear door.

    Regards,

    Mark

I've recently had a Polo DSG with a fault in the gearbox. Everywhere the owner went he was getting quotes in the £1000 to £2000 to replace the box. I did a bit of digging through the loom and found a snapped internal copper wire close to the box connector but the outside plastic looked fine. The wiring on these cars is very thin and prone to breaking, particularly near the connectors.

Thanks guys I'll need to have a good look at the wiring as that it seems where my issue is.

Does anyone know where I can get a wiring diagram for these cars as iv searched and the internet but found nothing?
