    Golf MK5 1.9tdi 2005. Engine BKC

    Where is the location of the Camshaft Sensor. VW 036 906 433E (this might now be 045 906 433A?)

    Have Excessive Hot Start Cranking issue. (no code errors)

    Have removed air filter box but dammed if I can see it.

    its at the cam belt end iirc mate, how fast does your starter crank the engine over? the starter motor is a known fault with hot start issues

    Golf 1.9tdi 2005 Engine BKC.

    Still cannot find Camshaft sensor.
    Have looked underneath both ends of crankshaft.

    (Have removed Starter Motor, Stripped & greased). (com & brushes look perfect).

    Where is this sensor?

    Have just replaced STARTER MOTOR & now turns over faster when cold & even faster when hot & now fires 1st time.

    (got a S/H replacement off a 2010 golf, same pt. but a later year code. £50 Ebay - result)
