    For those users who use Photobucket, by default, your Photobucket account is public. Ie, everyone can see the contents and your media appears in search engine results.

    Making your account private:


    This is what your Photobucket account looks like in its Public state - everyone can see your albums and recent uploads.



    Hover over your username in the top right corner and press User Settings



    Now press Privacy on this screen



    For maximum privacy, press everything that is shown in the below image. Be aware, if you have photos already, you will have to reinsert every link if you press the Scrable File Names under the For All Previous Uploads heading



    Press Save, then Yes



    if that worked, you will see the alert shown below



    Now your profile and pictures are safe and private from prying eyes
