air con regas

hi to all, new to site and looking for a bit of help, does anyone know how much refrigerant the air con system takes on a 03 1.9 tdi, your help would be much appreciated

I don't know what the capacity is, but if you suspect it needs topped up, take it to Halfords and get a free air con test. If their equipment tells you it needs recharged then go buy a can of refrigerant off ebay (Halfords are too pricey) and then take it back to Halfords for a free retest after you've used it so you can see if you need any more. I think I read somewhere that one can of refrigerant is usually enough to top up a system. A lot of cars seem to need a top up after 4 or 5 years through natural loss and the fact that manufacturers don't always fill the system to capacity when the vehicle's new, apparently.

there is a sticker on the bonet or the Slam Panel that tells you... Sorry i cant look as mines still in the garge
