Personally I'd see how much these vw/Audi specialists offer for a duplicate key, as one key is a bit of an issue. As for repairing the barrel that spins round when you try to turn the key. You'd have to get to what is meant to keep the barrel in place. I don't know about your specific model but I'd imagine the principal is the same. You'll have to remove the door card and the metal plate that has the speaker, door mechanism and win inside it. It's all a matter of prying trims and removing screws. Just be careful of the wires. Your window may also need to be removed, it's a bit of a headache tbh. Both tabs of my drivers door are broken, door doesn't open, will have to open my entire door again.

In fact I just remembered, there are a few bolts on side of the door that hold the handle mechanism, I'm not too sure whether they hold the barrel in place as well. Perhaps that's why your barrel keeps spinning as the bolt that holds it in place isn't there. If the barrel does spin, will the barrel not come out?
