New A7 on order.....

Been browsing this A7 forum for a few weeks now and been a member on the forum for a year or so as the missus has a Passat CC GT.

Am currently the owner of an E90 M3 and have just placed an order for a new A7 - build week is looking to be week 13 next year but the M3 doesn't go back until early May so that fit's in nicely.

Anyways, spec as follows:

A7 3.0TDi 245PS S-Line Quattro S-tronic
Daytona Grey
Perforated Alcanta/Leather trim
Storage Pack
MMI Plus with MMi touch
20" 5 segment/spoke alloys
Badge Delete
Privacy Glass
Phone prep high with Bluetooth

I did also want the Bose upgrade but was pushing the budget so something had to go and the standard system on the demo car seemed pretty good.

Have been reading the thread regarding the Google Maps etc with iphone and must say i am pretty disappointed that my car won't offer the data services whilst connected to my phone Audi should really sort this out urgently, and I kinda hope if they do, then my build 'may' incorporate a fixed design flaw - here's hoping eh!

Anyway, I will continue to lurk and read the threads with interest whilst I eagerly count down the weeks (months) until the car arrives!

Well great news! The car has arrived early!

I was given a 6 month build time, with production expected to be week 13 2012 but the car has been built and arrived in the uk within 6 weeks!!

Managed to speak to BMW who will accept the M3 back early with no other penalty except for an excess mileage charge

This means I collect the A7 at the end of the week! I have already been to the dealer for a nosey round it and it looks stunning. Counting down the days now.....

I hope that when you get the A7, your parking will improve from the normal BMW standards!! (runs and hides)...

Ha Ha - parking will improve but will have to remember not to use the indicators any more and am licenced to drive even closer to the car in front on the motorway
