Cambelt and Waterpump

Hi,

Can anyone plz suggest a good indi for Cambelt and Waterpump in either Berks/Bucks or Midlands?

My 55 reg B6 is due for a Cambelt change and i am thinking of getting the Waterpump and Oil service done at the same time. I am in Berks and the M'head is quoting 400 just for Cambelt and Waterpump (not sure how much extra would be for Long life oil service).

I searched the Forums and found some prev threads but in the mean while prices seem to have gone up and I dont have a good idea what shall i expect to pay.

RSR auto tech in Bromsgrove - Richard is a good Indi and will use genuine or OEM parts as you require.

He has sorted my wifes bettle and my passat out a few times.

ive used mckenzies vw indi garage in lichfield very good and competative prices,also try the lion motor group another vw audi seat specialist,they have branches in leicester,loughborough,hinkley and tamworth,i had an inspection service on my tdi jetta last year with these guys (tamworth branch) and saved nearly £80!
you may want to look at your local vw garages aswell johnsons vw in tamworth have an offer on at the moment cambelt change for £319,dont forget aswell that alot of vw garages do price matching within a 5 mile radius from where ever you have had a quote from and the give you a two year warranty on parts they have fitted

Finally got it done at Marlow VW (an independant in High Wycombe) for 320 £ including both Cambelt and Waterpump. Job well done.
