A3 1.9tdi quattro sport 2002 has developed misfire at 2500rpm but only when driving and esp light comes on at same time HELP

Just wondered if anyone has any ideas my A3 1.9 Tdi quattro sport is on 2002 it has just developed a misfire at 2500rpm but only when you are driving if revved whilst stationary it is fine never does it when the misfire is there if you accelerate more upto 3500 to 4000 it gets worse and esp light comes on then when you stop car is juddering and misfiring on tick over if you turn off and start again the light is out and car is fine anyone have any ideas ???????? not had the car very long and was perfect when i bought it with plenty of power. Still has plenty of power just misfires sometimes at 2500rpm upto 2500rpm the car drives faultless and very smooth and doesnt do it all the time either????????? ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated really like the car and dont really want to have to sell it

Can't really help with your problem but I know the first thing everyone on here will say is to get a fault code scan and come back to us with the results.

could be injector loom or injector
you really do need to get a diag test done before any serious answers to your fault

thanks was looking on some other posts on here someone said to crimp connections on wiring harness for injectors so did that today and tried the car drove perfect then lost bit of power now it is fine runs as it did when i got it so think its safe to say definatly the wiring harness for injectors so am going to get another one thankyou for the support
