Hi,

I had the same problem on my MK4 Golf TDI150, this was after i was messing with my tail lights and had a bulb missing, so my advice would be to check all your tail lights and make sure you have the correct bulbs. A mate of mine had the same problem and cost him £40 from VW to diagnose the fault. Failing that then it could be your glow plugs.

Hi, just thought i would throw this one in, ive read in my manual that if a diesel engine develops a fault, the glow plug light will flash. Probably worth taking it into a garage and getting it hooked up to a laptop and see whats going on.
