does anyone know if there is a set length for the bump stops on rear suspension as mine seem to only have an inch and half to bottoming out . if i pull bump stop down the shock while on car you can see the top of the end that sits in the top mount ,is this normal or should i have more travel before it bottoms out? also would front suspension if knackered eg it clonks on bumps/potholes carry through car to affect the rear to sound like the rear is knackered . by the way the rear is all new top mounts, bump stops, shocks(audi), bushes and springs

Yeah there's a standard length bump-stop for normal suspension and shorter one for
sports suspension, best compare them to the old ones.

If the rear end is still rattling, and you've replaced the whole strut AND the axle bushes,
then you may look at the exhaust system and silencer boxes and their brackets.

Other than that, there's the spare wheel, jack and any-other things in the boot that may be loose.

    Regards
