    Need some help in finding a rattle in the dashboard!! Got the car about 6 weeks ago and car has been at garage three times to see if they can sort it! Still no joy!! It's right under the dashboard grill. Anyone else had this problem??

    Do a search for rattles and squeaks, dashboard etc., or you could try spraying a dry ptfe spray into the affected areas.

    Had one in mine, seemed to be around the centre of the dashboard. Whilst the car was in for a service the dealer tightened the dashboard mounting, job done and under warrantee.

    It's where your knee rests usually, the black winged part next to the radio surround, hth.

    What dashboard grill do you mean? I found the cable wrap vw use is terribly crackly, its almost brittle and makes creaks if at all loose. The cables supplying the glove box are small looms, both are vulnerable to creaking.
