Audi Connect MMI Plus data connection

Hi I have collected my new A6 today , I have managed to connect my phone Nokia E7-00 Running the latest Nokia Anna software, the phone connects fine to the car using the remote sim profile (RSAP), however I cannot get any data connection, the car has full 3G signal. and the APN appears to be correct (internet, web, web), even tried the sim card straight into the dash and still no joy.

Has anyone had any success getting a Nokia E7-00 (same as N8 or C7), or use the sim card and connecting to vodafone?

Was in exactly the same situation, phone worked, addressbook transfer across from my Blackberry but unable to establish data connection. Ditto tried SIM card in car as well as by rSAP. Internet, web and web setup same as you. Yesterday got it working - I had been in touch with Vodafone who said there were no data restrictions on my account but they did a SIM card reset (phone switch off for 15 mins etc) At the same time on the data connections setup page I switched connection type from normal to secure. You know when it is connected for data when you get a double backarrow in bottom right corner near the 2G/3G indication. Hurray !! Unfortunately because both these changes happed together I'm not sure which unlocked things.

I can now get data - Google maps are absolutely brilliant and google search feature is great - if you know the name of the company but dont know the address it will find it for you.

Boosted by success I've now tried to set up the WLAN in the car. Got a laptop to connect - but it wont allow an internet connection !!

So one step forward but still a few barriers to break through.

PS should have said only had car 3 weeks so still finding out about the new toys !
