    Re: 2006 Volkswagen Touran
The ABS and traction control light stays on. I am wondering what are the possible reasons for this. Could someone please give me some advice as to what could be the cause of this.

Sounds like your ABS Pump/control unit has gone. Exactly the same lights came on on my 18month old Mk5 Golf (with 20K on the clock) on Monday along with the flashing exclamation. By coincidcence it was booked in to VW dealer the next day. They diagnosed it to be the ABS control unit/pump which I beleive is a combined unit . The part they ordered was about £1000 and I have heard its about £1500 fitted. I'm just glad mines covered under warrentee

Sounds like what Ive just fixed on my Touran. If you are mechanically minded and have access to VAGCOM you can do yourself. £160 for the part on she-bay and about 3 hours work including bleeding the brakes. Post the fault code to confirm
