    Default ABS pump- FAILED! – 26-09-2011,07:58 PM
    ESP light on , so off it went to vw. They told me ABS pump failure (same old story for this model) but instead of being told it's gonna cost 1.5k+ they tell me VW have now got a repair kit out because it's such a common problem. Cost £440 and less 50% good will so heart attack over.

    Never heard of the repair kit till now so I'm guessing it's pretty recent!

    The repair kits have been around for a few months now - its mainly to keep cost down as VW nearly always contributes towards the abs pump fault with goodwill.
    Had MKV GTI, Now Ford Falcon
