    Hi

I've had my 3.0 A4 Allroad for just about a month now and very pleased overall

I'm aware that no speed camera POI are avalaible for the sat nav

Just wondering what any of you use

I have an Iphone and thinking getting a app

I do have an old garmin sat nav with speed cameras on it - became annoying as would always highlight where camera's may be but at least it would make me aware.

I'm new here so go easy please !

    Thanks

    Steve

Eyes, brain and foot for me.

Or just eyes (maybe brain) for the alerting side of it all.

Origin B2 was the best thing I ever had but got lazy when i changed cars and never had it refitted - and now I have 6 points although 3 were for being on the phone.(stupid stupid I know will never happen again with bluetooth etc) I think the only systems worth having are ones where they update every day and can detect mobile as well as fixed. And as for my approach now - I just dont speed anymore - something to do with parenthood maybe. Unless on the twisties up north - has to be done at times!

Novus driver for me, small but powerful and found it to be really accurate and gives you a verbal warning without lots of beebing as some of the Tom Toms do when you pass or go into average speed area.
It also tells you the road speed as you are approaching the camera stored in its database and if required a slow down reminder. The downloads are free which is an added bonus and you can put your own POI into as reminder.
I use mine from the Aux with the wire neatly tucked under the dash so that you don't notice it coming up to the magnetic disk on the drivers side dash. Had it for three years with no probs, cost about £100 which I thought was excellent value, anything that helps by giving info to the driver has got to be good.

I use an app on the iPhone called Camera Alert.
When conected to the AMI and media is in use the spoken alerts will sound over music, podcast or whatever you are listening to.
Otherwise I leave it in the centre console and it sounds through it's own speaker.

    Trust that's useful

HERS - 'R' New 7spd DSG and 310 rampant ones. 4.2 off the mark will do nicely

    Thanks yor the replies

I have just brought the camera alert, appears good value

Pitch like you I have used it in the centre console with the sounds coming throgh its own speaker, will have to get a lead to plug in.

Works fine for me and very helpful to have the warnings sounding especially in unfamilliar areas.
