    Hi all,

I have a very unusual question (or I guess it is unusual). For some time now I have noticed that the brake pedal of my b7 is positioned quite higher than the acceleration pedal. Hence the pain i am getting in my right foot after a long drive.

Are these pedals supposed to be levelled so that is easy to quick interchange them when needed without too much fuss?

Is there something i can do to position my right foot better?

    Thanks for advice in advance!

I just checked my B7, the pedals are indeed at different heights. The clutch is highest, then brake and lowest is the accelerator. There is a good inch of height difference between the brake and accelerator.

Thanks jmcvitie, do you feel any discomfort when driving long distances? The curve that my foot does when switching between the 2 pedals (mine is automatic) is killing me. I wonder how the sporty pedals are positioned.

Can anybody throw some light here?

I haven't noticed any discomfort, I do 120 motorway miles everyday so I don't use the brakes that much. I'm not sure what you mean by sporty pedals, mine is an S-Line I doubt there is any difference. I also checked my A6 C5 and that also has a very similar pedal arrangement.

Right, so that must be normal then. Sporty pedals are the retrofit ones, they are more ergonomical and kind of cool. Mine is also s line.

Hmmm that is strange, surely I have driven other cars and the distance is not the big.

    Anyway thanks for checking.
