Just passed MOT but advised for second year that headlights are grazed and may well not pass next year. Lights all working fine so just the lenses that need replacement/refurb. Audi advised that lenses not available as spare parts and would need to purchase complete unit - almost fell over at the price!!! Any advice on sourcing cheaper complete units or indeed removing lenses for refurb/polishing? Thanks.

Recently polished mine, results not too bad, certainly an improvement. Proccess involved flatting them down with 1500 wet and dry, then machine polish them.

You could also try using Novus plastic polish, as its made to remove scratches from perspex and plastics,

    mine were grazed as well.

just did in situ, with fine paper by hand - 800 then 1000 then 1200 followed by rubbing compound.

    They look like new.

just be carefull not to rub the paint of the wings - mask them up.

I did mine recently also, were in pretty bad state. Got myself a kit off ebay and few hours later I was amazed by result, not as new but almost there. Make sure you use some uv coating afterwards.

Where do you get the UV coating from?
Duct tape is like The Force. It has a Light Side and a Dark Side and it holds the universe together.

Some restoration kits have some sort of coating included and so did the one I got.
I am still pesimistic on coating I used as it was only rub-on on surface after completing restoration process. As far as I know there isnt a permanent protection yet available.
Will see how long it will last.
