Help please!

I've got a Skoda TDI and my windscreen wipers will only work in 'go slow motion', regardless of whether they are switched onto intermittant, normal or fast.

Do you think it will be the motor and if so do you have an idea of what kind of cost am I looking at.

It could be a faulty stalk, the relay that controls the wipe or indeed the motor.

I would suspect the motor, my friends passat has burnt out 2, then they grease the mechinism which has helped them stay alive.

Sounds like the wiper mechanism is beginning to seize, this is the bit that transmits drive from the motor to the wiper arms. I stripped mine down and lubricated it, when I had a similar problem on my old Octy.
