The orange symbol of emissions control pop in my dashboard. In the garage the code reader comes with the faults 013128, 000387, and 00003.
The first is the control circuit for controller for turbocharger 1. The second is the Fuel temp. sensor A. The third is the Control Module.
In the garage they said that if they replace the sensor A for the Fuel temp, the problem is sorted, than they don't need to replace the control circuit for controller for turbocharger 1.
I feel a lack of power too. Is it something more serious? Is it as they say in the garage?
    I have a A6 3.0 tdi from 2005.
    Thanks

I had these symptoms on my car a while ago & it turned out to be the intercooler that had split - a probem I've heard a few A6 owners have had. Have you chacked all the hoses & pipes as well? As a split hose could cause this too.

When hooked up to the diagnostic, mine came up with 2 or 3 fault codes that weren't correct. The garage should really clear these codes, then wait til the EMC light comes back on & re-diagnose, this will come up with the true faults then.

If have a look at the connector from the non wire side there're will be two tiny slots either side of the individual contact. You need to slide something small down either side. The proper tool is like a pair of tweezers to look at but some tiny screw drivers or such like will do the job. They are diddly bit there are some barbs on the contact you are trying to bend back. You may have to push the contact at the same tin as bending them. Once out just solder straight to it.

The wires come with the connectors already crimped on. You will need to get the wire sized and colour but they should be able to get that info at Audi.

Alteernatively go go to the scrap yard and look for any vag vehicles and cut the connectors off that look similar ad many will interchange. Done this more than once.

    Hi ajmartins,

The fuel temperature sensor is easy replacement, pretty cheap to buy as well, first I would check contacts like Mike has highlighted. The turbo charger control module can also be replaced easily but like Brycie said check hose, etc.

    It
may also help you to get a scan done via a VAG dedicated scanner like say VCDS, there are forum members who may do it for you, Link:- VWAF User Location Map - VCDS - Google Maps

You can also replace the controller for the turbo and run checks via VCDS and observes its operation when VCDS is doing its test quite easily.
