Auto-Dim Mirror/Auto Lights/Auto Wipers Retrofit

In the scrapyard yesterday getting a wiper motor for my B6 Iwas looking over the car and noticed it was an SE (Comfortline)

Grabbed: The auto light switch
The ambient interior light setup
The Dashboard drawers.
90% of the Chrome pack.
2.0 badge.
Clear front indicators.
Colour coded front bump strips.
Auto Dimming mirror, Only half of the rain sensor (Stuck)

Nice haul, and insanely cheap!

I saw on Vortex that people have retrofitted full OEM setups to MKV's MKVI's, Jettas and US spec Passat B6's.

So I used their thread but part numbers are slightly different.

I need a new rain sensor since I only have half of it! (unless somebody has a non-working one they want to donate or a new one they want to sell cheap!

)

And a few trigger wires to hook it all up,

My question is:

Is this all I need (apart from coding etc.) to get 1: Auto Dimming Mirror
2: Auto lights
and 3: Auto wipers working?

Got my new windscreen fitted with the auto-dim mount. got the wiring and the plugs and connectors from the dealer. Just need the rain sensor now and can start fitting up.

You forgot to get the climate control unit.

what do you mean the climate control unit?

mine has climatic, the donor had climatronic but was water damaged flooded up to the height of the radio. wouldn't chance paying big money for all the climatronic bits for it not to work.

i got the sunshine sensor from the middle of the dash..

You won't be able to retrofit climatronic into a climatic vehicle anyway, so I doubt the sunshine sensor will be able to be fitted in. I also thought the climatronic dashboards were moulded differently on top too.

Technically 'one' can retrofit climatronic, however it involves a full dashboard dismantle, dashboard replace and a ton of wiring.

Someone on vwvortex has photos of a golf undergoing this treatment, and it doesn't look pretty...!

ya the dash is different, thought that if i needed it then could stick it somewhere, obviously not required.

so what does he mean by needing climate control unit?

ya saw that on 'tex, my car is too new for major surgery like that!

Climate control was standard on Sport models, it was optional on SE models. I assume you don't have climate control? Thats why I mentioned it.

no i have the manual climatic version as mine is an S.

to be honest not gonna bother changing as i'm happy with the way it works, and unless it was an easy-ish retrofit (and its not apparently) then i'd do it. don't wanna over complicate things, too many variables to go wrong.
