    1999 A6 Avant 1.8t Turbo. 104,000 miles
ABS light and central warning coming on intermittently. Diagnostics state ABS not communicating with dash. There is the frequent annoying three peeps each time it comes on.
Dash stopped responding to central locking a long time ago and only responds when key inserted in ignition.
Is my dash on the way out or will spending on this not cure the problem in first paragraph.
Car drives well but don't want to throw money away.
Any ideas on a fix, who could fix it or who would buy car in current state.
I am just outside Exeter, Devon.

    Thanks
    Pete

Does sound like a dash problem. The dashes are expensive so replacing might not be an option. People like BBA Reman and others can look at the dash and see what is wrong and then repair for you. You will have to send it away so you will be without the car for a while but it will be cheaper than a new dash pod, which are about £600.
