Hi guys, this is my 1st post. I have a problem with my Audi A4 breather. each time I open the bonut, i see smoke everywhere, breather hose unattached to the connector, melting due to the excessive heat, smell of rubber burning. I took it the the local garage but was told by the mechanic that it needs replacing and it is an expensive job as it will require intake to accessed. Is there any cheaper way to get it fixed or replaced?? Do I carry on driving the car if it is not that serious?? Hope this forum will be helpful.

    Audi A4 Saloon Auto 2003.

    Thanks
